The Earth Zodiac Sign

The earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Earth signs crave stability, cohesiveness and practicality. They are not known for their shining personalities, but they are very dependable. Those who are an earth sign tend to be realistic, grounded and are usually the rock in the relationship. They also have the ability to rise to positions of power and control because of their ability to stay focused on their tasks. Earth signs are sometimes considered stuffy and limited. This harsh perception is held because they are a bit shy and prefer to focus on reaching their goals, rather than socialization. But they are loyal to those who are loyal to them.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20) Fixed Signs
Taurus, the bull, is the second zodiac sign. They are ruled by the planet Venus. This earth sign is very patient and purposeful. They don't live life on the edge of their seats but rather choose to take their time and make decisions that are well thought out and best for themselves and everyone around them.

These earth signs can sometime be quite prideful once they're mind has made up about an issue. This is of course a double edged sword. It can be seemingly impossible to get them to see another person’s point of view at times. A Taurus can be extremely sensitive and may be hurt easily with words.

Although they can be set in their ways at times, Taurus are stubborn with pride which can be beneficial to them at times. When they set they're mind to it they can move mountains. You can count on this zodiac sign to be there when you need them to be and always give you sound advice to the best of their abilities.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22) Mutable Sign
Virgo, the virgin, is the sixth sign in the zodiac. The Virgo earth sign is ruled by the planet Mercury. Their standards are quite high as they are perfectionists and will not settle for less than the best. Virgo is also a very insightful zodiac sign and considered to be a jack of all trades.

Virgos have a tendency to have an overly critical view of the world, as many people and things do not meet there standards. People know this of them and find it hard to live up to their expectations at times. What's worse is that Virgo is not just a harsh critic of the world around them, they are even harder on themselves.

On a positive note, the people around them have a great respect for the time and effort a Virgo takes to perfect his crafts. This earth sign is a hard worker and has a right to expect highly from others if they are willing to put in a hundred percent. Whatever en devour they take on a Virgo puts their all into it and that can truly be admired.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20) Cardinal Sign
Capricorns, the goat, is the tenth zodiac sign and they are ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Capricorns are cautious and shy. They take their time to fulfill their goals and always try to calculate every move to get there. They dislike being wasteful with time, resources or money.

This earth sign is not very trusting of others, especially at first meeting. They need time to get to know a person before they can warm up to them. Capricorns also tend to have low self esteem and a slightly pessimistic view of the world.

While they may not be the most adventurous folks, they are some of the most loyal. Their word is their bond and they are respected because of that. Capricorns are very honorable and trustworthy, and they tend to be self sufficient, never taking advantage of their friends.
